Twiddle will hit the road this fall on a newly announced tour of 23 shows in 19 cities. The string of concerts, set to run from late October through mid-December, will feature support from a rotating cast of up-and-coming jam acts including Neighbor, Dogs In A Pile, and Of Good Nature.
The tour will kick off on October 25th in Charlottesville, VA where Twiddle will be paired with North Carolina’s Of Good Nature. The Vermont quartet will make its way down the East Coast with a stop in Charlotte, NC (10/26) to perform at Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, FL (10/27). Twiddle will then link up with rising New Jersey quintet Dogs In A Pile for a run through the Southeast featuring shows in Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas before traversing America’s Heartland with stops in Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Kentucky, and Missouri into mid-November.
Following a two-week break, Twiddle picks back up with its annual Frendsgiving event at The Capitol Theatre. The two-night celebration in Port Chester, NY will feature Twiddle alongside Dogs In A Pile on November 25th and Neighbor on the 26th. Neighbor will then stick with Twiddle for December shows in Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia. Twiddle and Of Good Nature will reconvene one more time for a show in Asheville, NC (12/10) before Twiddle finishes out its tour with a two-night stand at Higher Ground in the group’s native Burlington, VT.
Pre-sale tickets for the Twiddle fall tour with Neighbor, Dogs In A Pile, and Of Good Nature go on sale on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local venue time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local. See below for a full list of tour dates.
The tour’s announcement follows the recent release of Twiddle’s latest studio album, Every Last Leaf. The Clint Bierman-produced LP includes guest appearances from John Popper (Blues Traveler) and Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass).
“’Every Last Leaf’ is a metaphor for life,” explained singer/guitarist Mihali Savoulidis of the idea behind the new record. “When a leaf falls to the ground, something will grow from it. Everything is part of this grand circle. In the music, we’re exploring all of life’s sides—from the sad and angry to the proud and happy.”
Since late February, drummer Adrian Tramontano (Kung Fu) has played drums for Twiddle in place of Brook Jordan. Jordan addressed his absence back in March, stating that he had attended an in-patient program for substance abuse.
“It feels so good to say that I’m finally feeling like myself again,” Jordan wrote in his initial announcement. “Back to the true Brook. With each passing day, I feel more clear headed, focused, and motivated. This path won’t always be an easy one to navigate, but I’m hoping that there will continue to be brighter, blue skies ahead. Thank you all for everything. I can’t wait to be back in full force, playing for all you beautiful beings again, so soon.”
Jordan has continued his hiatus from touring since then, with Twiddle’s most recent performances at Levitt Pavilion For The Performing Arts in Bridgeport, CT on July 29th and 30th featuring Tramontano behind the kit. The band has not yet officially confirmed who will be on drums alongside Mihali, Ryan Dempsey (keys), and Zdenek Gubb (bass) for the newly announced fall tour, although a post from Tramontano seems to indicate that he will be on the road with Twiddle in the fall.
