Yesterday was quite the night for Twiddle, as they hit the Canalside venue in Buffalo, NY to play a set opening for Dweezil Zappa. The band brought the heat for their hourlong opening set, playing a total of four songs to really stretch their improvisational legs.

Among the many highlights from the hour of music was a sit-in from Aqueous guitarist Mike Gantzer, a Buffalo native and long time friend of the band. With Gantzer in tow, the band broke into “Apples” and “Indigo Trigger,” and thanks to Buffalo.FM, we can share great multi-cam footage of this awesome rendition of “Apples.”

The night wasn’t over there, however, as Twiddle keyboardist Ryan Dempsey made his way out to Buffalo Iron Works for a jamming performance sitting in with The Heavy Pets. Dempsey lent his hand on the track “Bring on the Night,” helping The Heavy Pets cover The Police classic with style. Check out Buffalo.FM’s official video of the sit-in below.

Twiddle keeps things raging tonight, July 8th, with an opening set for The String Cheese Incident. For fans of this band’s brand of jams, be sure to catch them at their inaugural Tumble Down Festival in Burlington, VT’s Waterfront Park from July 29th-30th. Featuring Nahko & Medicine for the People, Turkuaz, Cabinet, Kitchen Dwellers, and special guest Holly Bowling, this is one festival you won’t want to miss! Tickets and more are available via the band’s website!
