Over the New Year’s weekend, in major cities around the US, Ultra Music Festival put up posters with the initial Phase One announcement for this year’s festival, which has been expanded to two weekends (March 15th-17th & 22nd 24th). Rumors have been swirling around that Daft Punk would be headlining, but to no avail, the French duo was not announced (although the Phase Two announcement is right around the corner, so there is still hope).
So far, the lineup includes Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Bassnectar, Tiësto, Afrojack, Fatboy Slim, Calvin Harris, Hot Chip, Crystal Castles, Yeasayer and Thievery Corporation alongside previously confirmed headliners Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5. Carl Cox will once again be taking over his own Carl Cox & Friends Arena (which went off last year), and Above & Beyond, Crystal Castles, David Guetta, Knife Party, Kaskade, Boys Noize, and The Bloody Beetroots will be joining in the 3-day party, among others.
Ultra 2013 will once again take place at Bayfront Park in Miami. Three-day and VIP passes for both weekends are currently available.
