Back in October, Umphrey’s McGee announced a string of early-2019 dates dubbed the Wax On, Wax Off Tour. Today, the band has announced a number of additions to the tour via a YouTube video premiere.

The 11 newly announced dates will keep the band on the road throughout the month of March, beginning on Friday, March 1st at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA with support from Ghost-Note. The tour will continue with Ghost-Note in Los Angeles, CA (3/2); Bend, OR (3/7); Eugene, OR (3/8); and Seattle, WA (3/9).

On March 10th, Umphrey’s McGee will mount an “evening with” performance at The Hive – Sandpoint in Sandpoint, ID before heading back east for a run of shows with support from BIG Something featuring stops in Jim Thorpe, PA (3/21); Pittsburgh, PA (3/22); and Cleveland, OH (3/23) before rounding out the run with a support-less two-night stand at the storied Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN (3/29, 3/30).

Umphrey’s McGee Wax On, Wax Off Tour Additions Announcement Video

This new crop of tour dates comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that the band will return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on a new weekend in 2019. Umphrey’s McGee will make their annual visit to the iconic natural amphitheater on June 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of next year. The first night of the run will feature support from Spafford, while the final night featuring three sets of UM including one Led Zeppelin tribute set with special guest Jason Bonham, a collaboration they introduced at LOCKN’ 2018.
