On Sunday, September 23rd, Chicago’s two Major League Baseball teams, the White Sox and the Cubs, closed out a three-game series at the White Sox’s South Side home stadium, Guaranteed Rate Field. Ahead of the game, the team brought in some of Chicago’s favorite musical exports—Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee—to sing the National Anthem.

The Umphrey’s guys were not the only notable Chicago musicians to help celebrate the intra-city rivalry. Kanye West headed out to the pitcher’s mound with his young son, Saint West, in tow to throw out one of several ceremonial first pitches. Watch the adorable video below:

Umphrey’s McGee will once again hit the stage on Thursday, October 4th, in Kansas City, MO and head to Madison, WI on Friday, October 5th. On Saturday, October 6th, Umphrey’s McGee will return to Chicago for their final hometown performance of 2018 at the Aragon Ballroom as part of the inaugural edition of The Big Weekend.
