Umphrey’s McGee has canceled an upcoming run of eight September 2021 tour dates due to a positive COVID-19 test by a person within the band’s team.

The canceled shows include planned performances at San Rafael, CA’s Terrapin Crossroads (9/2); Oakland, CA’s Fox Theater (9/3); Los Angeles, CA’s The Wiltern (9/4); San Diego, CA’s The Observatory North Park (9/5); Austin, TX’s Stubb’s BBQ (9/9); Houston, TX’s House of Blues Houston (9/10); Dallas, TX’s House of Blues Dallas (9/11); and Tulsa, OK’s Cain’s Ballroom (9/12).

As the band noted in a statement,

We are saddened to share the news that due to COVID within the Umphrey’s team, the upcoming shows scheduled in California, Texas, and Oklahoma are being cancelled. All ticket purchasers will receive a full refund for tickets at the point of purchase.

We were eagerly looking forward to the shows and despite our best efforts to keep everyone healthy, we have to do what is right. We hope to return to these cities sometime in 2022. Onward & upward.

As of now, the next Umphrey’s McGee shows are set to take place at Resonance Music and Arts Festival in Masontown, WV on September 16th and 17th. For a full list of upcoming Umphrey’s McGee tour dates, head here.
