Today, Umphrey’s McGee has announced their return to Charleston, South Carolina, with a performance at The Grove at Patriots Point on May 31st, 2018, with Perpetual Groove. Given plans to develop the area of the venue, as noted in a press release, this will also be one of the last big shows at The Grove. While members of Umphrey’s will be on hand at Charleston’s Pour House this weekend with Everyone Orchestra, the last time the band performed in the Charleston area was in September of 2016 at the North Charleston Coliseum for Chucktown Ball.

An official late-night at the nearby Omar Shrine will also see performances by Doom Flamingo—a new side project of Ryan Stasik and a number of prominent Charleston musicians including Michael Quinn (sax), Ross Bogan (keys), Stuart White (drums), Thomas Kenney (guitar) and Kanika Moore (vocals)—and The Artisanals. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Communities in Schools Charleston—an organization that supports local students and empowers them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, March 2nd at 10:00 am ET through fwbpro.com, with Early-Bird and VIP packages available.
