Following a save the date warning last week, Umphrey’s McGee has officially confirmed their upcoming performance at Chicago, IL’s Lakefront Green, set for Saturday, August 10th, 2019. Although the band formed in nearby South Bend, IN, the band cut their teeth in Chicago and claims the Windy City as their home.
The show at Lakefront Green marks Umphrey’s first show back in Chicago since their appearance at The Big Weekend in October 2018.
Located where the north end of Lincoln Park meets Lake Michigan, Lakefront Green offers spectacular views of the Chicago skyline over the stage. The band notes that the venue will be decked out festival-style, with an early start featuring several special guests to be announced, a slew of food and beverage options, and a umVIP experience for the books. This will be Umphrey’s McGee’s only Chicago show in 2019.
VIP packages as well as a limited amount of discounted tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, June 12th at 11 a.m. (CST) here. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning on Friday, June 14th at 11 a.m. (CST).
