Umphrey’s McGee got to work at The Fillmore Auditorium last night, kicking off their four-night New Year’s run in style. The band wasted no time bringing their uniquely high energy sound to the Denver, CO venue, opening with “Andy’s Last Beer” and rocking all night long.

Perhaps one of the more noteworthy entries on the setlist was “Utopian Fir,” which featured an interlude segment where the band jumped into “Silver Machine” by Hawkwind. Played for Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away earlier this week, the tribute was a touching moment amid a rocking show.

The second set included a “Jimmy Stewart” jam with vocals, and an “In The Kitchen” sandwich that included a handful of tunes. “All In Time” closed out this great first night of music.
