Umphrey’s McGee will explore new territory in spring 2025 with the band’s inaugural Morockshow destination event in Marrakech, Morocco. The prog-jam sextet and its fans will travel to Marrakech for three shows at Chez Ali on April 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2025.
Morockshow will again see Umphrey’s partner with Pilgrimage of Sound, the production company that took UM, Greensky Bluegrass, The Disco Biscuits, Pavement, and Wilco to Iceland for destination events over the past several years.
As with Umphrey’s McGee’s 2022 Röckjavik event in Iceland, Pilgrimage of Sound will host an array of daytime activities and opportunities to absorb the North African culture ahead of the band’s nightly performances. During the day, fans can book excursions on hot air balloons to get an aerial view of the Red City, explore the desert on camelback, take a walking tour of Marrakech’s culinary history, jump in a waterfall, or tear up the Atlas Mountains in a 4×4.
Tickets for the Umphrey’s McGee Morockshow destination event in Marakech, Morocco go on sale to the general public today, August 21st, at 12:00 p.m. CT time. Umphrey’s also offers UMVip packages including an exclusive set from the band, lodging at a hotel near the venue, shuttles to and from the show, exclusive merch, and an on-site reception party. Visit the event website for a full rundown of travel packages and concert details.
Morockshow adds to Umphrey’s McGee’s storied lineage as a band just as willing to push cultural boundaries as it is musical ones. Prior to the Morrocan adventure, the band staged its Röckjavik concerts at Eldborg Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2022. Longtime fans will also recall the band’s annual Holidaze vacation festival with The Disco Biscuits in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Over the years, the band has also had its passport stamped in Australia, Japan, and multiple European countries on a 2006 international tour—including the legendary Jam in the Dam festival in Amsterdam.
