Umphrey’s McGee has revealed the opening acts for their upcoming New Year’s run. The Chicago rockers will head to The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgie for four nights from December 28th through 31st. On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, the band will perform three sets with Mad Dog’s Filthy Little Secret Horn Section as they previously announced.

On Friday, December 28th, Umphrey’s McGee will be joined by Memphis, TN’s rising stars Southern Avenue, who opened the evening and sat in for a Beatles cover during UM’s recent set at The Capitol Theatre. The next night, Saturday, December 29th, Umphrey’s will be joined by Brooklyn-based instrumental rock-fusion quartet TAUK. On the final evening before their three-set New Year’s Eve celebration, UM will be joined by frequent Vulfpeck cohorts Cory Wong and Atwaun Stanley.

Umphrey’s McGee has also announced two late-night shows that will follow their Tabernacle shows. On Friday, December 28th, the synthwave sextet Doom Flamingo featuring Umphrey’s bassist Ryan Stasik will play Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse after the main event. The following night, Saturday, December 29th, supergroup TAUKing McGee featuring TAUK and members of Umphrey’s McGee will play the Cotton Club at The Tabernacle.
