Umphrey’s McGee closed out its 2020 touring schedule with a two-night run of concerts at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA last weekend. The first night, October 9th, saw the prog-jam act deliver a “Nothing Too Fancy” > “Comma Later” > “Nothing Too Fancy” sandwich in the first set, pro-shot footage of which is available now.

These shows ostensibly mark the end of the 2020 touring season for Umphrey’s McGee. However, that does not mean it’s the end of the road for all of the band’s members. Guitarists Jake Cinninger and Brendan Bayliss have since played an acoustic drive-in show at Boomers Stadium in Schaumburg, IL on October 16th. Also on the calendar, Bayliss and bassist Ryan Stasik are set to make up a rescheduled Baysick show in Isle of Palms, SC on October 23rd, and there are also a handful of Doom Flamingo dates on the horizon.

Coming in the middle of set one, night one, this video immediately gets going with with the third-gear instrumental hook of “Nothing Too Fancy”. Everybody took their turn to show off in this one, particularly during the breakdowns where percussionist Andy Farag gets to strut his stuff. Clocking in at over 26 minutes, this monster “Nothing Too Fancy” of a super-sized jam sandwich delivered exactly what hundreds of fans rolled into the Georgia racetrack hungry to see.

Watch Umphrey’s McGee string together “Nothing Too Fancy” into “Comma Later” and back into “Nothing Too Fancy” at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on October 9th.
