Umphrey’s McGee has announced a ticket request lottery for the band’s upcoming three-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

As the band noted in an announcement of the Red Rocks lottery, “With COVID capacity in flux, we understand the demand for these shows may exceed the available tickets. We want all fans to get a fair shot at tickets without racing the clock or being burned by scalper bots, which is why we are introducing a ticket lottery system for these shows. Three-Day passes and individual night tickets will both be available through the lottery, with Three-Day pass requests to be filled first.”

The ticketing lottery opens today, May 5th, at 10:00 a.m. MT. For more details or to enter the UM Red Rocks ticket lottery, head here.

[5/15/21] Red Rocks regulars Umphrey’s McGee have joined the ranks of bands announcing limited-capacity 2021 shows at the iconic Morrison, CO amphitheater. While details have yet to be revealed, the band shared a “save the date” notice for June 18th, 19th, and 20th of this year.

Umphrey’s McGee was originally set to return to Red Rocks on the same weekend last year before the pandemic prompted the cancellation of virtually all summer shows. In addition to nightly headlining performances by Umphrey’s, the 2020 Red Rocks run was set to feature a stacked support bill including Pigeons Playing Ping PongCory Wong, Vulfpeck offshoot The Fearless FlyersSamantha Fish, and Goose, as well as a third Umphrey’s set on Sunday featuring the band playing alongside Gene Ween as Godboner.

So far, the band has not released any details on the 2021 Red Rocks run aside from its dates. For a full list of upcoming Umphrey’s McGee tour dates, head here.

The Umphrey’s McGee 2021 Red Rocks announcement is the latest in a flurry of new shows added to the venue’s spring and summer schedule following the news that it will reopen this month for limited-capacity events. The demand for live shows at Red Rocks has been clearly apparent since then: The first new 2021 Red Rocks announcement, a two-night run by jamtronica favorites Lotus in late April, quickly ballooned to a four-night engagement due to popular demand. Similarly, a two-night run by producer/singer ZHU quickly snowballed from a two-night run to a six-night residency featuring a slew of supporting artists (5/3 with Manic Focus; 5/4 with Marvel Years; 5/5 with Kill Paris; 5/9–5/11 with special guests TBA).

Other upcoming shows at Red Rocks include Trevor Hall with Cas Haley (4/29, 4/30), Kaytranada (5/1, 5/2), SunSquabi (5/6), Leftover Salmon (5/7, 5/8 with Andy Hall & Friends), Diplo with Sidepiece (5/12, 5/13), OSEES with LFZ (5/15),  The Movement and The Expendables (5/14, with DENM), Lucero (5/16 with Shane Smith & The Saints), Mt. Joy (5/22 with Del Water Gap), and Andy Frasco & The U.N. (5/27, with Keller Williams), and more. For a full list of upcoming shows, head to the Red Rocks website.
