Umphrey’s McGee has announced the rescheduled dates for their planned 2020 “UM Bowl” performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, which were originally set to take place this spring on May 1st-2nd.

Announced on Thursday, the rescheduled dates will now see the band perform the shows on September 25th-26th, as more bands and promoters continue to push back their spring and summer events to what’s becoming a quickly oversaturated fall concert and festival schedule. Tickets purchased for the May performances will be honored at the new dates.

UMBowl, which began a one-night-only concert event that debuted in 2010 and ran for seven straight years, will be slightly different in its eighth installment. Instead of playing four sets (quarters) and an encore (overtime) over one night, the band will look to play three sets and an encore each night at UMBowl VIII. Additionally, audience members will have the opportunity to decide the fate of each set by voting on the next song in real-time.

Members of Umphrey’s have passed their time in self-quarantine by participating in Marc Brownstein‘s online music lessons initiative, partaking in Andy Frasco‘s ridiculous parody videos, and the recently-lunched “Good Vibes Grams” virtual telegram service.
