Umphrey’s McGee will stage its annual two-night UMBowl event at The Mother Church of Country Music, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, on April 4th and 5th, 2025.

The progressive jam sextet announced the return of its innovative, interactive music experience with an MTV-themed video featuring Dire Straits‘ “Money for Nothing”. UM will play three sets each night, and like previous years, the band will let fans call the plays by voting to help determine the setlists both in advance and in real time.

Past UMBowls have seen Umphrey’s create new songs based on fan-selected jams from previous shows (known as “Jimmy Stewarts”), play improvisations inspired by fan-made art, live score a montage of classic movie scenes, and premiere original shorts, parodies, and more. This year is sure to feature similar antics, with the band promising “a few wild cards” in its official announcement.

Tickets for UMBowl XI, including umVIP packages which guarantee seating in the first few rows of both the floor and balcony among other perks, will be available via an artist pre-sale starting Tuesday, January 21st at 10 a.m. CT. The general on-sale will follow on Wednesday, January 22nd at 10 a.m. CT. Sign up for pre-sale access here, and visit the band’s website for more details.

Umphrey’s McGee will kick off its Cruising Altitude 2025 Tour tonight, Thursday, January 16th at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA. The band was recently added to Tool‘s Live In The Sand festival in the Dominican Republic and will host its own destination event, Morockshow, in Marrakech, Morocco in April after UMBowl. UM is also scheduled to headline Northlands Music & Arts Festival in Swanzey, NH this summer along with The String Cheese Incidentmoe., and Cory Wong. For a full list of tour dates, visit the band’s website, and find tickets to upcoming shows via Ticketmaster.
