Following and extended hiatus, Connecticut-native Americana quintet Vasudo has released a new single, “Blood”, a reggae-tinged tune bounces along behind a lengthy narrative, tasteful riffing, and lush harmonies. The track was recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios in Woodstock, NY.

Vasudo is comprised of Matt Campbell (vocals, keys) alongside four of the five current members of the high-flying jam band, Goose, Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys), Jeffrey Arevalo (drums, percussion), and Trevor Weekz (bass).

Vasudo has not performed live since 2013, years before Goose attained its current level of widespread success on the road. That will change on Friday, August 20th when Vasudo performs at Fred The Festival in Arrington, VA, part of LOCKN’ Farm‘s series of artist-focused events this summer.

Other acts set to perform at Fred include Dawes (one original set, one Black Sabbath set), Grateful Shred, Cory Wong, Dr. Dog, Hiss Golden Messenger, and of course, plenty of Goose.
