Six seconds may not seem like a long time, but considering the vast array of clips posted on the video-sharing service, it’s no surprise that Vine would want to expand their brand. The app just released Music On Vine, allowing users to add looped audio to their short video clips.

The new feature was outlined on a blog post, which reads: “To date, our creation tools have focused on the visual components of your Vines… By focusing on how your Vines sound, you can make better Vines, and share new music for the world to uncover.”

Music to Vine includes a “Snap To Beat” function, which allows greater customization for the music inclusion. For Vine enthusiasts, this will allow a whole new element to the creative process! The service also aims to distribute music with a “Featured Music” section, allowing users to check out new artists and popular grooves.

So get to jamming on Vine!
