The Voodoo Music & Arts Experience Festival, taking place in New Orleans from October 26-28 2012, added three more acts to its already stellar lineup. Nas, Coheed & Cambria, and Vintage Trouble will now perform at this year’s Halloween bash. The festival currently features K’Naan, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Skrillex, Green Day, Jack White, Kaskade, The Avett Brothers, Silversun Pickups, Justice, George Porter Jr. & The Runnin’ Pardners, JFK of MSTRKRFT, Bootsy Collins, Justice, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Étienne De Crécy, AWOLNATION, and many more.

Famous for its unique artist match-ups, this year includes Johnny Vidacovich and James Singleton doing James Booker; Skerik, Mike Dillon, George Porter, Johnny Vidacovich and Edward “Kidd” Jordan on stage together; Lost Bayou Ramblers & some of the Givers with the horn section of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and other collaborations.

Although additions and changes are possible, the most up-to-date lineup and schedule are on the festival’s website with a “create my lineup” option to make your own schedule of the bands you like! This is sure to be an excellent weekend in NOLA.
