Fans of Vulfpeck are anxiously awaiting the band’s new album, The Beautiful Game, due out next Monday October 17th. The funky group have recruited an all-star crew of collaborators, and recently gave us our first taste of the new release with “Dean Town” earlier this week.
With the new album due out on Monday, it seems Vulfpeck is taking steps to get people excited. The band announced the “2016 vulf telethon” through their mailing list today, inviting fans to a Facebook broadcast that “promises to be understaffed and excruciatingly boring.” It’s set to take place this Sunday, October 16th, at 3 PM Pacific Time.
No details about the broadcast have been provided, other than its purpose. “we will be drumming up support for the beautiful game,” says Vulfpeck in their email, implying that perhaps drums will be a central theme. Whatever the case may be, a Vulf Telethon is sure to be a fun event, despite the band’s disclaimer otherwise. Check here to pre-order the new album.
