Vulfpeck shared another Vulf Vault 005: Wongs Cafe single, releasing “Let’s Go!” on the band’s YouTube page Tuesday morning. This latest track arrives as the fourth single from the instrumental nu-funk group’s forthcoming album, due out on Friday, January 7th.

“Let’s Go!” follows the previously released singles “Smokeshow“, “Disco De Lune“, and “You Got To Be You“. Unlike the most recent “You Got To Be You”, which carried a three-pronged keyboard attack, “Let’s Go!” arrives with a heavily distorted guitar from Jack Stratton, and just two players behind keys—Woody Goss (synth) and Joey Dosik (Wurlitzer). Of course, the more guitar-heavy approach also features Cory Wong on his trusty Fender Stratocaster, while Joe Dart handles the low end on bass alongside Theo Katzman on drums. Of all the singles released thus far, “Let’s Go!” best highlights the chemistry between Wong and Goss, who link up for countless lines and trade riffs throughout the song’s 4:37 runtime.

The forthcoming, Cory Wong-produced release will feature ten all-instrumental compositions from Vulfpeck, marking the band’s first full-length album since 2020’s The Joy of Music, The Job of Real Estate. In celebration of the fifth installment to the Vulf Vault series, instead of releasing previously unheard material, the band decided to make an entirely new record with its longtime collaborator. For Wong, however, he has had quite the busy 2021, releasing Wong On Ice, The Paisley Park Session, Turbo, The Golden Hour, and Cory and the Wongnotes.
