Warren Haynes will return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a special addition to his Now Is The Time Tour 2024 with the Warren Haynes Band. The concert at the famed Morrison, CO amphitheater on September 10th will see the Gov’t Mule bandleader team up with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra conducted by Christopher Dragon, performing orchestral interpretations of songs by the Allman Brothers BandGrateful Dead, and more in addition to selections from Haynes’ own catalog.

Like other headlining shows on the Now Is The Time Tour, the Red Rocks appearance will include two full sets of The Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience plus a set of Haynes’ signature blues-rock performed with the new Warren Haynes Band. For this tour, the lineup for Haynes’ newly reactivated solo outfit includes longtime collaborator John Medeski (keys), Gov’t Mule bassist Kevin Scott, veteran WHB member Terence Higgins, and Greg Osby (sax) with whom Warren toured as a member of The Dead in 2004. These shows will feature all-new orchestral arrangements, with the exception of the Grateful Dead songs which will utilize compositions from Haynes’ Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration tour.

“It’s almost cliche to say Red Rocks is a magical venue, but the truth is…it is,” Haynes said. “Having played there dozens of times, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad show there. So, when picking places to bring my retrospective Symphonic Experience show, the one place I knew we had to play was Red Rocks. This show features material from all the amazing bands I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of over the last 30 years – interpreted by different orchestras around the country in addition to music from my various solo records and new, yet to be released material as well. I’m honored to perform once again with the Colorado Symphony and to unleash my new band, which will perform with and without the symphony.”

An artist pre-sale for tickets to the new Warren Haynes show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre featuring the Colorado Symphony runs from Thursday, May 16th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. MT. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 17th at 10 a.m. MT via AXS.

The impetus for Haynes’ Dreams and Songs Symphonic Experience began on the guitarist’s successful Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration tour from 2013–2016. Those shows introduced the improvisationally-minded guitarist to the beauty of symphony, and in 2019 Warren debuted his own orchestral project “Dreams & Songs – A Symphonic Journey” with a sold-out two-night engagement in his hometown of Asheville, NC. Those concerts heard Haynes go through his illustrious resume as he revisited all of the songbooks on which he has left an indelible mark, joined by the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. The new Now Is The Time Tour with the Warren Haynes Band and the Dreams and Songs Experience builds upon that concept as Warren dives deep into his prolific career.

Warren Haynes is set to kick off the Now Is The Time Tour with a three-night run through the Northeast in July. International dates in Europe will follow ahead of West Coast performances on Slash‘s traveling S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival and headlining shows throughout the Midwest.
