Warren Haynes will be among the honorees at the upcoming Little Kids Rock benefit show at New York City’s Playstation Theatre on Thursday, October 10th. Fellow guitarist (and past Little Kids Rock honoree) Steve Miller will be on hand to introduce Haynes at the event.

Little Kids Rock is a non-profit organization which provides free music education and musical instruments to public schools across the country. Since 2002, Little Kids Rock has helped more than 850,000 kids jumpstart their music education.

As Haynes tells Billboard, “Music education is something extremely important to me since being able to play and make music has allowed me to achieve many of my dreams. Knowing that many children are denied that opportunity due to the scarcity of music programs and teachers due to lack of funding is heartbreaking. Little Kids Rocks helps remove the barriers standing between many students and their dreams of being able to learn about and play music.”
