PBS is airing a two-part series on the Grateful Dead, starting with a look at drummer Mickey Hart and his perpetual quest for sonic exploration. As the special discusses, Hart has collaborated with astrophysicists to create music that reflects the origins of the universe and neuroscientists to create music that may stimulate damaged regions of the brain.
