Singer/songwriter/R&B talent D’Angelo has always been shrouded in mystery. With the surprise release of Black Messiah at the end of 2014, the sensation was thrust back in the spotlight, where he’s only excelled. D’Angelo was inactive from 2000 through 2012, and it had been over a decade since D’Angelo gave a televised interview. However, the singer was in good spirits chatting with PBS’s Tavis Smiley, chatting about musical influences, Black Messiah, the inactivity, religion and more.
