Having just finished a major DMB tour and beginning a scheduled lengthy band hiatus, Dave Matthews performed in North Dakota for the first time in his career last night, at a Turnaround: Arts benefit in North Yates. The show was in support of the recent protests against the Standing Rock pipeline, as well as raising money to support bringing arts education to local schools.

The solo set saw Matthews take on DMB songs, including “Don’t Drink The Water” which led into Woody Guthrie‘s “This Land Is Your Land.” The set ended with a version of “All Along The Watchtower” with R&B artist Ledisi and Native American hip hop artists.
