Last night brought 10+ hours of straight music to the Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans. Dubbed “The Bayou Rendezvous,” the evening sought out to include some of the most rocking, funky, jammy players in the scene and put them all between two stages. The result? Pure magic.

After The New Orleans Suspects with John “Papa” Gros, the Naughty Professor Horns, Roosevelt Collier, and Natalie Cressman kicked things off as “Night People” with a very special tribute to NOLA legend Allen Toussaint, Dr. Klaw took the stage for a murdering set of funk classics.

Dr. Klaw is a very special group of musicians that only play together as such a few times a year. The all-star lineup includes Lettuce/Soulive’s Eric Krasno, Lettuce/Break Science’s Adam Deitch, Nigel Hall, Dumpstaphunk’s Nick Daniels III, and Ian Neville. The band ran through some incredible classics to a packed room well past midnight.
