Australian radio station triple j hosts a segment on called “Like A Version” where artists stop by their studio to perform one of their own songs, and usually a fun cover or two. Previous guests on the show include an eclectic range of artists putting a unique spin on other artists, such as Tame Impala covering “Confide In Me” by Kylie Minogue, Flume performing his song “Never Be Like You” with three guest singers, Childish Gambino cover “So Into You” by Tamia, BADBADNOTGOOD covering the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows”, and Grouplove covering Cage The Elephant‘s “Spiderhead”.

Recently, New York electro-rock band Phantogram stopped by “Like A Version” and dropped a downtempo version of Radiohead‘s swirling masterpiece, “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi”. Singer Sarah Barthel nails the delicate vocal part, as the band turns in tight re-interpretation of the song. It’s one of Radiohead’s most beautiful pieces of music, and Phantogram is able to make it their own while maintaining the song’s ethereal essence.
