Over the weekend at the two-day, two-city Sunshine Music Festival, Tedeschi Trucks Band brought two new debuts to their jam-packed catalogue. On Saturday, they brought David Bowie’s ‘It Ain’t Easy’ to the forefront (watch it here). Featured on Bowie’s classic 1972 album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars, the side one rocker was actually never performed live by The Thin White Duke.

On Sunday, they introduced a new funky number, covering Sly And The Family Stone‘s ‘I Cannot Make It’ off the 1967 studio album A Whole New Thing. The vocal exchanges between the powerful Susan Tedeschi, Mike Mattison, and Alecia Chakour, complemented by the ever-so-smooth tone of Derek Trucks, enforce an undeniable energy and full-on swag throughout. Thanks to YouTuber user zmanatl, anyone who hasn’t seen this new musical addition can relive the version from their visit to Macon earlier this week. Watch the video below:

Tomorrow, TTB step into their two-night, sold-out shows at the Chicago Theatre. Saturday before their performance, the band will be kicking it at WXRT’s Studio X, providing a live stream of the small performance at 3:30 PM CT through the radio station’s website.
