This past weekend at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA, the venue hosted a benefit for Mother Hips’ guitarist/vocalist Tim Bluhm, who suffered multiple injuries in a speed flying accident back in September. The event featured a rotating cast of musicians from the NorCal area, including Bluhm himself, along with Scott Guberman, Greg Loiacono, Scott Law, Dan Lebowitz, and several others. All proceeds from the event will go towards Bluhm’s medical expenses, which include several surgeries to repair a completely snapped left ankle and several shattered bones on his right side. He also suffered from several serious infections, which saw the musician have to take round after round of antibiotics.

Phil Lesh joined the group on a few numbers, including “Casey Jones” and “Hey Pocky Way” among others. To put the final touches on the show, the group also paid tribute to Prince with a “Shakedown Street > 1999 > Shakedown Street” sandwich.
