Ween is getting back on the road for the band’s first full-fledged tour since reuniting in 2016. Announced on Tuesday, the band’s 14-date summer tour will feature shows from coast to coast from July through September.
Ween’s summer tour will begin on the West Coast and move eastward, starting in late July with a trio of California shows at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (7/28) the Fox Theater in Oakland (7/29), and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Wheatland (7/30).
Following a gig at Sandy Amphitheater in Salt Lake City (8/1), Ween will return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre (8/3). The band last played the iconic Morrison, CO venue last August as part of the South Park 25th anniversary concerts with Primus and series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Prior to that, Ween’s last headlining shows at Red Rocks came in the form of a two-night run in 2018.
Moving through the Midwest, Ween will stop in Kansas City, MO (8/4) and St. Louis, MO (8/5) before breaking for a month. In September, the band will pick up where things left off with shows in Minneapolis (9/8), Chicago (9/9), Madison, WI (9/10), and Newport, KY (9/12). Finally, the tour will wrap with a run of Northeastern dates in New York, NY (9/14), Providence, RI (9/15), and Hampton Beach, NH (9/16).
Tickets for the 2023 Ween summer tour go on sale to the general public on Friday at 12 p.m. ET. Pre-sales begin on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time. The band also relaunched a new-and-improved online store.
Following a year-long reunion tour in 2016, Ween has shied away from extensive road dates and instead opted for a weekend warrior approach of three-night runs—oftentimes spread across two states—scattered throughout the year. The band just completed another trip to Las Vegas’ Brooklyn Bowl over the weekend, marking the first Ween shows of the year as well as Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman)’s 53rd birthday.
