Organizers Postpone Inaugural Wham Bam! Festival Due To "Unforeseen Circumstances"

Organizers of Wham Bam! Festival have postponed the event to an unspecified date. The inaugural festival was set to take place at Shakori Hills Community Arts Center in Pittsboro, NC on March 10th–12th.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond out [sic] control, we have been forced to postpone the Wham Bam Festival,” organizers wrote on Facebook on Monday. “Refunds will be made available with an official announcement on how to obtain those refunds coming within a week as we work with Universe by Ticketmaster. If you would like to hold onto your ticket until we announce a rescheduled date, refunds will be made available again if you cannot attend the new date after it is announced.”

Wham Bam! was set to debut with a lineup featuring The Disco Biscuits, Papadosio, Lotus, G Jones, and more. In addition to an eclectic mix of jam, livetronic, and bass music, festival organizers also incorporated elements of video game and comic book culture. The event was even set to include live action characters acting out a comic book story written specifically for Wham Bam!, set to develop through the years.

“We are genuinely sorry for all that have been inconvenienced by this and plan to release more information over time, as well as an official reschedule date, so please stay tuned to our social media pages,” organizers continued.
