When We Were Young Adds Second Day Ft. Blink-182, Green Day, Good Charlotte, More

Organizers of When We Were Young have added a second day of the festival on October 22nd, 2023. Day two of the Live Nation-produced ’90s/’00s emo-pop-punk nostalgia festival will bring back the same lineup as day one on October 21st including headliners Blink-182 and Green Day.

Other acts set to appear on both days of the second annual When We Were Young at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds are Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Offspring, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, Thrice, Rise Against, Something Corporate, Gym Class Heroes, Bowling for Soup, Less Thank Jake, Sum 41, Goldfinger, Plain White T’s, The Front Bottoms, New Found Glory, and many more.

Fans can register now for a pre-sale for day two tickets to When We Were Young 2023, set to begin on Friday at 2 p.m. PT.

Festival organizers originally announced the 2023 WWY lineup last October before the first gathering even occurred. The festival ultimately sold out three straight days of the same lineup, however, when it finally came time for WWWY to debut on October 22nd, 30–40 mph winds blew through Las Vegas, forcing organizers to cancel day one. With the next two days of the festival already sold out, the only thing organizers could do for the fans who traveled from all over the world was issue refunds. The following two days of the festival went off smoothly, with My Chemical Romance donning elderly prosthetics to drive home their legacy as emo forefathers.

In the wake of When We Were Young, other new fests capitalizing on ’90s and ’00s nostalgia have sprouted up around the country. Atlantic City’s Adjacent Festival also nabbed Blink-182 and Paramore for its debut over Memorial Day Weekend 2023, while the nu metal-centric Sick New World will take place at the same site as WWWY in May with System of a Down, Deftones, and Incubus.
