White Rhino is not your average Brooklyn based rapper. He describes his sound as combining “the grittiness of Nirvana and The Notorious BIG with the experimental electronic sounds akin to Radiohead, Kid Cudi, and Deadmau5″. Those are some big names to live up to, but it’s not totally off base – White Rhino’s music is a fresh take on hip hop incorporating the sounds of many genres into live beats along with catchy lyrics, creating a unique sound.

Indie review website ReviewMyTunes.com praised White Rhino’s latest album, ‘The Journey of Julian Rhine’, saying “White Rhino’s hit-making ability is truly impressive, as Rhine skillfully blends a contemporary cocktail of dance, electronica, hip hop and R&B. In this regard, White Rhino belongs on today’s Billboard charts.”

In recent months, White Rhino has headlined The Knitting Factory and The Studio at Webster Hall to rave reviews. He is set to headline Sullivan Hall’s CMJ showcase on Saturday, October 20, also featuring Turkuaz among other acts, which is a show you don’t want to miss.
