The Who will return to Madison Square Garden in New York City for the second time this year to kick off the fall leg of their Moving On! Tour with a performance at the famous arena scheduled for Sunday, September 1st.

The performance is the second New York Metro Area performance scheduled for their 2019 fall run, with a gig at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY scheduled a few weeks afterward on September 15th.

The first leg of the tour started back on May 7th at Grand Rapids, MI’s Van Angel Arena and wrapped earlier this month following a show at Toronto, ON’s Scotiabank Arena on June 1st. Following their new performance at The Garden to start the second leg, the veteran rock band will continue with performances at St. Paul, MN’s Xcel Energy Center (9/6), Alpine Valley, WI’s Alpine Valley Music Theatre (9/8), Cuyahoga Falls, OH’s Blossom Music Center (9/10), Boston, MA’s Fenway Park (9/13), and beyond. The tour is scheduled to wrap on October 23rd at Edmonton, AB’s Rogers Place.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, bandmates Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend stressed that this tour is not being billed as a “farewell”, though Daltrey goes on to say that this will possibly be his “last tour”. He continues, “I’m just being realistic about going through the 75th year of my life. I have to be realistic that this is the age I am and voices start to go after a while. I don’t want to be not as good as I was two years ago.”
