Widespread Panic has announced a new batch of live, in-person tour dates set for the second half of 2021.

Following a previously scheduled three-night run in Austin, TX in mid-August, the Athens rockers will head to Napa, CA’s Oxbow RiverStage for a three-night run on August 27th, 28th, and 29th.

In September, Widespread Panic will return to the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY—where the band played a five-night run just days before the pandemic shut the world down last March—for yet another five-night stand on September 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th.

In October, Panic will head back to the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI for four nights (10/21, 10/22, 10/23, 10/24). After a previously scheduled November run at Chicago, IL’s Chicago Theatre (11/17, 11/18, 11/19), the band will continue its New Year’s tradition in Atlanta with a four-night run at the Fox Theatre (12/28, 12/29, 12/30, 12/31).

Tickets for the Milwaukee shows go on sale this Friday, April 9th at 12:00 p.m. CT. Tickets for the 2021 Widespread Panic Beacon Theatre residency in September will go on sale on Friday, April 16th at 10:00 a.m. ET. New Year’s ticketing details have yet to be announced.

Along with the announcement of the new 2021 tour dates, Widespread Panic shared the following message with regard to the ever-developing pandemic picture:

As part of a continued commitment to creating the safest, most enjoyable concert experience for everyone, these shows may be revised as needed. We will keep the tour information on our website as up to date as possible. So, as always, “call” before you haul. … See you on the road!

As vaccination eligibility continues to open up around the country, the music industry continues to place its bets on a relatively “normal” fall season. As larger acts continue to cancel or reschedule 2021 summer tours, Widespread Panic’s updated 2021 touring schedule is among the closest to “normal” seen yet for any band. In New York, where ticketed events are only just being phased back in after a year of empty stages, the Widespread Panic announcement joins a handful of other shows in the first new batch of Beacon Theatre concerts of 2021.
