Widespread Panic will make its return to Credit One Stadium in Charleston, SC on May 16th and 17th, 2025. These shows will mark the band’s first trip to the tennis stadium on Daniel Island since 2023 when the group welcomed sit-ins by Doom Flamingo’s Kanika Moore and Daniel Donato.
Tickets for the Widespread Panic shows in Charleston will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 31st at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. For the band’s most recent visit in 2023, Widespread Panic enlisted opening support from Doom Flamingo on one night and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country on the other. The band did not include any support details in Monday’s announcement.
Widespread Panic’s history at Credit One Stadium dates back to October 2013 when it was known as Family Circle Stadium and the band recruited Umphrey’s McGee to open a pair of shows. On Saturday, October 5th, Umphrey’s guitarist Jake Cinninger, keyboardist Joel Cummins, and percussionist Andy Farag joined Panic for a healthy portion of the second set, sitting in on Funkadelic classics “Maggot Brain” and “Red Hot Mama”, plus an Andy-assisted “Drums”. When Panic returned to the renamed Credit One Stadium in 2023, it brought along local Charleston synthwave band Doom Flamingo (co-founded by Umphrey’s bassist Ryan Stasik) and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. The sit-in was a full circle moment for Donato and his band, who just two years prior played a free set in a parking lot outside a Panic show in Milwaukee.
The Charleston run marks the latest addition to Widespread Panic’s 2025 touring calendar. Next month, the band will make its return to the stage in Atlantic City on Valentine’s Day for its first live appearance since guitarist Jimmy Herring underwent treatment for tonsil cancer last summer. After that, WSP will take its annual vacation in St. Augustine, FL (3/21–3/23) followed by a return to Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater (4/24–4/26). Find tickets and full tour dates here.
