Wilco will tour the Cruel Country this spring with a set of newly announced dates. The concerts come in support of the band’s double album released last summer and the announcement is paired with a short film featuring highlights from the band’s trio of surprise shows at Chicago dive bar Carol’s Pub on October 9th.

Wilco’s 2023 spring tour features a number of special engagements, including an opening three-night hometown run at The Riviera Theatre in Chicago (3/23–3/26). Along with a trio of shows at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (3/30–4/1) and the band’s destination event in Reykjavík, Iceland (4/8–4/10), these three-night runs will feature unique setlists each show with no repeats.

The tour routing focuses on the Southeast with shows in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina before wrapping on April 30th in Athens, OH. The first half of the tour will feature support from Horsegirl with The A’s subbing in for the backstretch.

Tickets for the Wilco 2023 spring tour go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. A Live Nation pre-sale beginning January 19th is accessible using the code SOUND.

Along with the announcement, Wilco shared pro-shot footage from one of three shows the band performed at Carol’s Pub in Chicago. Back on October 9th, the Windy City-bred band announced a concert that same night at the 200-capacity venue. Tickets were sold in person on a first-come, first-served basis and when the first show was sold out, the band added a second and ultimately a third performance. In addition to mining the group’s new album, Wilco peppered the setlist with covers by Bob DylanTerry AllenGrateful Dead, and more.
