Wilco has announced the return of the band’s Solid Sound Festival, set to take place at MASS MoCa in North Adams, MA May 27th–29th, 2022. The Wilco-curated multi-disciplinary music and arts festival hasn’t occurred since June 2019.

Though no musical artists were revealed, the festival is set to feature Wilco as headliners. Beyond that, the seventh Solid Sound since its debut in 2010 will also host sets from the band members’ various side projects alongside an eclectic lineup hand-picked by the band. Past Solid Sound lineups have seen a mix of folk, indie, hip-hop, and beyond, which all come together to form Wilco’s unique musical background.

In addition to the multitude of galleries at MASS MoCoa which include long-term installations by James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt, Jenny Holzer, and Anselm Kiefer, Solid Sound 2022 will offer a fully programmed comedy stage, outdoor pursuits that explore The Berkshire region of western Massachusetts, family activities, and much more.

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy originally announced the return of Solid Sound during a July MASS MoCa benefit concert.

“When we return to Solid Sound, it will have been almost three years between festivals,” Tweedy said. “And as far as I’m concerned, that’s almost two years too long. We’ve got a lot of catching up to do.”

Tickets for Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival go on sale on Friday at 12 p.m. ET here. Stay tuned to the festival’s website for more details on the 2022 event.
