Last weekend, the Without A Net super group defied expectations with an awe-inspiring performance of Grateful Dead music at the BB King Blues Club in New York, NY. The late night, Dead & Company after party featured an all-star lineup from the jam band scene, and the players let loose to wade through the Grateful Dead catalog.
The band featured Todd Stoops (RAQ) on keys, Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine/Stratosphere All-Stars) on guitar, Scotty Zwang (Dopapod) on drums, Hayley Jane on vocals, and the veteran bassist Reed Mathis, who currently plays in Bill Kreutzmann’s solo band Billy & The Kids.
Opening with an extended jam, the group segued into “Casey Jones” and never relented! With a special sit-in from Dave Watts (The Motet) on drums and Emily Clark on vocals for “They Love Each Other”, the show proved to be one of L4LM’s best yet! Listen to the full show audio below:
