The Canadian indie-rock outfit Wolf Parade released “Julia Take Your Man Home” from their forthcoming Thin Mind album. “Julia Take Your Man Home” joins “Forest Green” and “Against the Day” as the third single from their upcoming release.

Thin Mind is a follow-up to their 2017 release Cry, Cry, Cry and it marks their fifth studio album.

A common technique Wolf Parade uses in songwriting is layering melodies, and they employed it well here. Guitarists Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner each created their own melodies then worked in a synthesizer, adding another layer to the sound. When combined, they formed a great base for Krug to layer vocals atop. Drummer Arlen Thompson kept a steady backbeat throughout the song.
