The Wood Brothers have shared a new animated music video for “Little Bit Broken”. The visual accompaniment to the Kingdom In My Mind track features the trio transposed into rudimentary drawings.

“Little Bit Broken” joins “Little Bit Sweet” as the second music video to come from the group’s 2020 studio release. While the band hasn’t shared any new, official studio material since quarantine began, they have remained active on Facebook with various archival footage and quarantine content.

The video shows the band, which features brothers Chris and Oliver Wood alongside multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix, as basic animated drawings. The entire video looks like the kind of drawing that is hung up on refrigerators across the country, and there is something endearing about that. “Little Bit Broken” is a song that personifies the imperfection of all humans, and the animation style chosen for this video reflects that. Throughout the music video, The Wood Brothers break strings, limbs, and more, all the while Oliver sings “everybody is a little bit broken, it’s alright, it’s alright to be broken,” as a reminder to accept our human nature.
