In the last day or two, photos of a hilarious Monopoly-esque board game called Wookery have been making their rounds on the Internet. The game first appeared in a post (now deleted) on the Lotus Family Facebook page, which offered up a handful of hilarious images of the set, which functions as a drinking game. The game was created by Jim Davis and contains references to a number of wook-friendly artists on the scene, including the Grateful DeadLotusThe Disco BiscuitsString Cheese IncidentSTS9BassnectarGRiZ, and Pretty Lights.

After buzz around the game grew online, Davis created an Etsy page for the game, which describes how Wookery works:

Basically the way the game works is you roll a dice to move around the board and pick up “heady cards” along the way which have funny things on em like “Moved to Colorado to trim herb, ended up working at Taco Bell…move back 5 spaces” and the goal is to pass start and collect “wonky cards” which are tongue twisters you have to say correctly and fast, or you drink. On your way around the board you will encounter Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Griz, Lotus, STS9, The Disco Biscuits and multiple other obstacles along the way! Grab a group of your local wooks and get a game going today!!!

Predictably, Wookery sold-out quickly (Editor’s note: The game has gone back on sale in limited quantities, though will probably sell out soon again.), given that it’s a handmade game, which also features the option to have the board customized with your own pictures of wooks that are near and dear to your heart. You can check out pictures of the board below.
