Color Red is a curated artist group, media outlet, music label, recording studio, and genre-fluid music platform based in Denver, Colorado. The newly launched and multi-faceted venture is the brainchild of The New Mastersounds’ resident guitar virtuoso, Eddie Roberts, with Color Red celebrating its official launch on Friday, September 28th, during a celebratory show at Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom and Other Side. Since the platform’s digital launch earlier in the summer, Color Red has championed releases by Matador! Soul Sounds and Analog Son. Recently, Color Red dropped the first single by a brand-new supergroup featuring Robert Walter, Eddie Roberts, and Adam Deitch.

Each of the musicians in the trio, which has taken on the name W.R.D., is critically renowned in his own right. In addition to Roberts, Robert Walter is a famed keyboard player and organist, best known as a founding member of the Greyboy Allstars in addition to leading his own 20th Congress and touring with Mike Gordon, while Adam Deitch is the famed drummer behind fan-favorite funk band, Lettuce, and electronic duo, Break Science.

For W.R.D.’s debut release, Color Red will release a 7″ vinyl record—side A includes title track “Happy Hour”, while side B features a bonus track, “Corner Pocket”—which is available for pre-order now, with its official release slated for September 28th.

You can listen both of W.R.D.’s newly released tracks and find more information about the upcoming vinyl release on Color Red’s website here. For more information on Color Red’s launch party at the end of September, head here.
