Wu-Block, composed of Ghostface Killah (of the Wu-Tang Clan) and Sheek Louch (of the Lox) released a collaborative album called Wu-Block on Tuesday, November 27th via E1 Records. The name Wu-Block was recently used as a stage name for Ghostface, a few Wu-Tang Clan members and D-Block at the PNC Bank Arts Center stop of Rock The Bells and is now being used by these two major players in the New York rap scene.
The album, which didn’t seem well advertised, features Erykah Badu as well as a ton of appearances from members of both artists’ groups. The album is great and is worthy of being talked about. The title track features the original lineup planned for the Wu-Block project (except for Cappadonna) which included Ghostface, Raekwon, Cappadonna and all three members of D-Block. The full LP was streaming online via AOL/FADER for a very short time but is no longer available. The album is available for purchase on iTunes so check it out if you like these guys.
