The 20th anniversary of the Wu-Tang Clan has been anything but harmonious, with RZA and Raekwon taking their creative differences public concerning the direction of their new album, A Better Tomorrow.  But these issues seem to be coming to a close as the group has released a statement through their website.  It says, “Breaking news : Raekwon and Rza truce : Raekwon scheduled to hit studio to complete verses for album : A Better Tomorrow.  Details coming!”

This year has seen plenty of drama in the Wu-Tang Clan and their affiliate members as Andre “Christ Bearer” Johnson made headlines in April for severing his own penis and attempting to commit suicide by jumping off a balcony.  After that incident, the group released a post through their website saying, “Parental Advisory : Don’t Believe The HYPE. This Mother Fucker Ain’t Got Shit to do with The WUTANG Brand.”  The post has since been taken down but the story can be read on Gawker here.

The group released the first single, “Keep Watch,” in March and the album, A Better Tomorrow is available for pre-order through their website here.  While the description says, “The long awaited 20th anniversary album by Wu-Tang Clan is in the works and almost ready to ship,” that has been up for two months at this point and with Raekwon still recording verses for the album, it seems as if they may miss their July mark.  Check out the lead single “Keep Watch,” below.
