Last week, New Orleans radio station WWOZ stepped up in an attempt to fill the enormous hole left by a lack of Jazz Fest with the beloved music festival’s cancelation this year due to COVID-19 with a full weekend broadcast of past performances. In Jazz Fest fashion, the music returns for a second weekend starting today (April 30th) with Thursday performances from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Anders Osborne, Herbie Hancock, Jon Cleary, Widespread Panic, and more beginning at 11 a.m. CST.

Similar to last week, weekend two archive broadcasts will begin each day (Thursday-Sunday) at 11 a.m. CST and continues through the morning and afternoon and well into the early evening hours until the final set wraps at 7 p.m. CST. More Jazz Fest performances from years past to be included in the weekend two broadcast schedule include Samantha Fish, Big Freedia, Aaron Neville, Wynton Marsalis, Tank & The Bangas, Esperanza Spalding, Dumpstaphunk, Amanda Shaw, Pete Seeger, the Radiators, and the Neville Brothers just to name a few.
