Experimental indie-rock outfit Yo La Tengo has announced a pair of socially distant outdoor concerts at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) scheduled for August 7th-8th.

As per Wednesday’s announcement, the group will take the stage in front of a live audience (in a very limited capacity of 100 people) in accordance with the state of Massachusetts phase three business reopening guidelines.

As seen in the photo below taken from a recent event held at MASS MoCA, the band will be lofted two stories above the audience level, allowing for plenty of space between performer and fans to make for a safe atmosphere. The two concerts will also see the venue using contactless ticketing, new exits to prevent overcrowding, take-out restaurant procedures for food and drink vending, and more.

Yo La Tengo returned to headlines earlier this month when the band spent a week released a week’s worth of daily singles to their newly-launched Bandcamp, cumulating to a five-track EP entitled, We Have Amnesia Sometimes.
