The creative force of twin brothers Charles (Sir Charles) and Zach Weinert (Greenhouse Lounge) comes to a head with MZG, the newest project to feature the two musicians. By teaming up and turning their attention to the glorious grooves of boogie and funk music, MZG is poised to take on a new life in 2016.

“In the past we’ve always had our own separate projects that kept us busy, so we’re excited now to have our lives align in a way that allows us to devote 100% of our time to pushing this project in a new direction.” The duo are planning an extensive series of remixes, and are proud to kick off the series with a reworking of the Break Science track “Once In A While.” Stream it below, exclusively via Live for Live Music:

We spoke to the brothers about their inspiration behind remixing the track and the new series of remixes. They said, “We’ve had the honor of befriending and performing with some great musicians, so it came naturally to start work on a series of remixes based around that network. When Borahm Lee of Break Science hit the inbox with “Once in a While” stems, we realized it was a perfect initial release for this series.”

Be sure to catch the group in Florida, on tour with Michal Menert and the Pretty Fantastics. The duo will also be performing at AURA Music Festival, so there’s no reason to miss out! Check out the tour dates below, and head to MZG’s SoundCloud page for more tracks.
