Steve Aoki may not focus much anymore on his production but it cannot be debated that his focus on perfecting the entertainment centered shows that have become his DJ sets has not wained. Recently at the Veld Music Festival in Toronto Canada, Aoki started off his set just like any other, he pressed play and commenced his usual bottle popping, crowd surfing cake throwing antics. However for the fan who got “caked” this set was anything but ordinary.
Breaking his all time record of longest cake throw and showing some serious aim, Aoki managed to hurl a cake all the way from his customary spot on top of his DJ booth onto a fan in a wheelchair being raised up by his friends in the middle of the crowd. It’s probably one of the only things I’ve ever been really impressed with to come out of an Aoki set. Check it out.
