Peach Music Festival is officially underway, with a strong Thursday night for those able to get to Scranton, Pennsylvania before the weekend kicks into action. Last night, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead performed two separate sets, alongside Dopapod Orchestra, Cabinet, and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. The music rang through the mountains, as fans had the openness to explore the water park, vendors, and other activities with free range before thousands more will join over the weekend.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead headlined the main Peach Stage on Thursday night, delivering their eclectic renditions of Grateful Dead (and beyond) tunes. Thank to taper tgakidis, you can listen to both sets below:

The Dopapod Orchestra featured instrumentation from various players on site, including Kung Fu drummer Adrian Tramontano, and horn players from Turkuaz.

As per tradition, Cabinet returned to their hometown roots for a greatly-appreciated set of Appalachian bluegrass. You can listen to their set below, courtesy of cabinetmusic:

As most attendees will join the fun today, the lineup will include headlining sets from My Morning Jacket, Lettuce with Chaka Khan, Greensky Bluegrass, Dark Star Orchestra, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, The Magpie Salute, Pink Talking Fish Perform Eat A Peach, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and so many more.
